Transforming Africa

At Khama Institute, we believe that the solution to Africa's poverty lies in embracing true freedom. Africa became free from colonialism in the 1960's, but the African people have never been free from the heavy hand of state power that has intruded in their lives since then. Prosperity and peace will only come when African governments step out of people's lives and allow freedom to truly reign.

Through high-impact multimedia campaigns, we will change the culture by showing exactly how this freedom produces prosperous societies, even when implemented in modest measure. President Seretse Khama applied a small dose of this freedom and still managed to create the fastest growing economy in the world, which shows that Africa may have the highest potential for growth, if it changed its ways.

We believe that Africa shall one day have the freeest societies in the whole world, since it has the least to lose by abandoning its intrusive state as it has been most ineffective. Africa will thus more readily embrace the freedom that was originally practiced by Western societies, when enough people understand its liberating power.
